  • About the Mercedes-Benz Plant Wörth.

Experience the legendary “Wörth Spirit“ first-hand.

The largest Mercedes-Benz truck assembly plant was founded in Wörth am Rhein in 1963. It is the birthplace of the Mercedes-Benz truck models Arocs, Atego and the legendary Actros, which has been produced here for more than 20 years as the world’s most successful heavy-duty truck. Moreover, also the Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks Econic, Unimog and Zetros are built here. In 2021, the series production of the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros was launched, followed by the second pure electric series truck Mercedes-Benz eEconic in 2022.

Every day, up to 470 customized trucks leave the Wörth Plant. Customers in over 150 countries appreciate the renowned quality “made in Wörth“. The production site is not only the center of competence for Mercedes-Benz trucks within its global production network. Furthermore, it can look back on a 50-year experience in CKD (Completely Knocked Down) production delivering vehicle assembly kits into various overseas markets to be finally assembled locally.

With more than 10,000 employees, the Mercedes-Benz Wörth Plant is the second-largest employer in the German federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. A large part of the staff has been working at the Wörth Plant already in the second or even third generation. This has led to an extraordinary cohesion, passion and dedication among the workforce, also known as the ”Wörth Spirit“.
